Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that they have fired Peter Bosz after Saturday’s 1-2 loss against Werder Bremen.
The loss was yet another disappointment in a series of bad results for the Dutch coach. After starting the season with 6 wins and a draw in the Bundesliga, they now failed to win any of their last eight games in the competition, with 5 losses and three draws.
With only two points from six Champions League matches, Dortmund managed to secure a spot in the knockout-phase of the Europa League, but the results were nothing like what they hoped for.
In a press conference on Sunday, the club announced the departure of the manager. Peter Stöger will take over Bosz’ tasks for the rest of the season.
